My 4x4 Instagram Mini Album by WRMK!

Hey everyone!

One of the cutest things ever!!!...the 4x4 Instagram albums by WeR:)

I loved putting this together. I used the "Farmer's Market" card collection from the "Albums Made Easy" line that WRMK came out with last year. I've got a video here where I share the whole album. The first video I posted is my sales video of the card sets I have listed for sale and I showed the way less embellished album. The 2nd video is the updated album. I hope you like it and I hope you'll get yourself a set, you can find all 3 collections I've got here for only $12 along with other WRMK products!!! It's a steal!!!

All products at my shop can be found HERE....just scroll down the right side and click on the image you have an interest in.
*Just a note, my shop will be closing, midnight April 12, 2015, PST.

This is the video of my finished album!

I got a lot of inspiration from Stephanie Bryan who is a designer for Studio Calico. Her little Instagram album is CUTE CUTE CUTE!! Here's her video:

Another Yt'er did an awesome job and I loved her cover! Her name is Emily and here's her adorable album video:

I loved sharing this project, I hope you liked! :)

Have a great day!

Vintage Linens and Laces Haul!

Hi crafters!

In the last couple of months I've been thinking about a project that my friend Karen made. She's my blog designer and so good at it!! Well, I saw her post not to long ago and I really wanted to do the same for 2 windows I'll have in our new house and well, my new studio. But she made this gorgeous curtain and I really loved it! Here's her blog post about hers with pictures...enjoy....and please follow her SM sites while you visit and tell her I sent you ok!

Karen is at "My Desert Cottage"!

Here's my haul video sharing the different styles I got.....I can't wait to buy some more to have enough to make my curtains :)

Thanks for stopping in!!

Jules in the Kitchen: Homemade Savory Pork Pinto Beans!

Hello Bloggers!!

Today is a cooking demo for you:) A while back I made some Chicken Enchiladas and separately did another video of how I make my Mexican rice! I'm not Mexican but growing up in the US, Mexican food is very popular and we loved it as a kid just as much as our Peruvian food....yes, I'm Peruvian...It's a beautiful coastal country in South America....Isn't she beautiful?

Now, back to the beans....I've cooked for over 35 years and it takes a little bit to get some things just right. My beans never were this awesome, but I have to is now!! LOL

Now you don't have to use pork shoulder only, I used to use real pork bacon and dice it up and throw that in my beans and it comes out pretty good. You can also use Hamhocks or Pork Shanks, still very good but those have a lot of fat and not so much meat. The shoulder has some marbling of fat but it's much less than the Hamhocks and Shanks, besides, I LOVE the meat in it, you do get intense flavor from all 4 though!

I showed you the seasonings I used on video but not the measurements (these are approximate because I always eyeball mine so make sure to taste your liquid, yes, even at the beginning), so here's the list...

~Pork Shoulder Picnic Roast (mine was 1.78 lbs)
~3 cups of cleaned and rinsed Pinto Beans
~about 10 cups of water or more in a large soup pot (like mine)
~1 cup of diced onion, medium (however much you want)
~1/4 c. of minced garlic (however much you want)
~Seasonings- I've always eyeballed my measurements so please make sure you taste the juices (just not while the pork is raw in there) throughout the cooking process and if you find it too salty at the beginning, throw some water out and add clean cold water then let it boil.

   -1 1/2 Tbp Salt
   -1/2 tsp Pepper
   -1 tsp Garlic powder
   -1 tsp Onion powder
-1-2 tsp of Adobo (you can find these at Mexican markets, or
    substitute for Seasoning salt
-1/2 to 3/4 tsp Celery salt
   -1/2 tsp Cumin
I also used about a cup of beef broth for the sauteed onions and garlic and into the pot they went. Any brand is fine, I used Swanson.

Once your beans are done, turn the heat off and let it cool for a couple of hours. I use Ziploc 3 cup size freezer containers that I get from Walmart. I add 3 laddle scoops of just beans to all 3 then I add the juice to top them all off, then freeze. Take 1 container out in the am to thaw for that nights dinner!! You can place them in a small pot to warm up or microwave it. You may need to add some water because the juice will be thick.

Here's my video showing you how I made my pot of Pork savory Pintos.  Thanks for watching:)

Here are a couple of pics of my plate of baked chicken, stuffing and some pork beans...I did do the re-frying of my pork beans!!:) These are great as a side dish, for breakfast or in a burrito! Seriously, they'll go with anything but pasta and pizza....unless you're an adventurous eater! LOL

Please leave a comment and follow my blog for other projects, dishes and DIY posts! Have a great day people!

"Sitting Pretty" 12x12 LO Feat. Blue Fern Studio's Montage collection!

Hello there!

Sharing a 12x12 LO with you today! I used the Montage paper collection from Blue Fern Studios. Super pretty papers!! So shabby chic and vintage but super colorful. The paper quality is awesome, nice and thick sheets!

This picture is of Anna, my now 20 year old, she was about 14-15 in this picture and it was like pulling teeth trying to get it. Anna is very private and isn't like alot of other teenagers who acts boy crazy and lives on FB posting pics all day....thank the LORD above for every now and again she'll take a selfie, so when I saw it I hounded her for it and so, she gave in and sent it to me! YAY, Victory!!

As I sometimes try to do, I recorded a video tutorial to share. I do speed up some of these otherwise they will be 2-3 hours long and I can't even sit through that. So, if there are any questions you may have, please leave it in the comments at the bottom of this post.

Here is the video, pics will follow and then the product list with some links for ya! Thanks for stopping by!

Visiting CHA Winter 2015, Anaheim CA with Laurie!!

Hello everyone!

(Fair warning, this post is super photo heavy so if you're page is taking a bit to load, just leave it up and do something else and come back to it, so all the pics will be ready to look at....or refresh the
page and give a minute for loading)

CHA 2015 is over for Winter and it was a whirlwind!!! And that's putting it mildly. I had the privilege of visiting this year with my best bud Laurie and my sweet sister Lisa. We didn't go all 4 days, we went for 2 but I think we'll need 3 days or maybe all 4 for the next visit to see EVERYTHING!!

Now I always thought that I would walk in and be blown away and get through everything, meet some people, take pics and was kind of like that but I NEVER thought I would be as exhausted as I was even after just the first day!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVED it all but man....It's A LOT to take in and walk, it was fun but it's overwhelming! Laurie and I knew in a way what to expect but the magnitude of CHA was off the charts!

Although we can't buy products at on the spot, we can however pre-order their newly released products they shared at the show. There are giveaways but it seemed that they would only giveaway products (just little things) or catalogs if you give them a business card, which I didn't take enough of but will next time! LOL!! There were lots of make and takes and although I didn't sign up for crops or classes, some booths were set up for passer by'ers to stop and make something cute, quick and simple!! Those were nice and my sister Lisa did those more than I did....she had fun and that made me happy!!

The day of take-off was very much anticipated and Laurie and I were so ansy to get to LA! Here we are on our way to the Portland Airport, then the flight!

You can visit Laurie on her YouTube channel HERE. She's got an Artfire shop and carries some products you may be interested in :)

Our take-off from Portland!! :)

Leaving Oregon!

Then....we land in LA!!!! YAY!!!!!

So, onward with pictures....

First place I stopped at was over at the Prima Marketing Booth! I started recording videos but was so overwhelmed by ALL the products and people, I decided to stop. I met some sweet people the second I walked into the Prima but then there were people that really surprised me...they weren't very nice, it really, really surprised me. I won't get into it but this experience with something else I went through with them a couple of years ago really makes them a lesser favorite....and that seriously makes me sad.

Well, the highlight of my visit at Prima was that I met the very talented Anna Debrowska "Finn", the super sweet Jaime Dougherty and the beautiful Delaina Burns!!

I can't tell you how much of an honor it was to meet these ladies!
The booth was super pretty as expected. I LOVED all the collections that were out and "oh holy moly", the samples from the Prima design team was absolutely gorgeous!!

Isn't it all beautiful!!??  I think I hung out at the booth for almost 45 minutes with Laurie, Shelly (Laurie's sister) and Lisa! Then we
went to some other booths:)

This is the Sizzix booth...
this guy was super silly!
I apologize, I didn't get as many pics as I wanted:/
Did you know that Sizzix made a larger die cutting machine!!?? It is now 9" wide! WOW!!

 Here's the Spellbinder's Booth...
I think this booth was the most gorgeous of them all!!
There was so much shabby vintage goodness
just wanted to stay there forever! :)

This is a new release and OH MY WORD!!! I want it all:)
So much vintage french and shabby chic design with this
release it's amazing!

Don't these look like bathroom paper rolls??? hmmm.... there's an idea for some of you!! :)

Here's Graphic 45!...
I met the ever so wonderful and talented Ms. Diane, she is the founder and owner of G45 papers! She's gotta be the most sweetest lady in the world! Nothing but smiles and hugs and kind words. She's also a very pretty lady! Look at her outfit, cute right!?
I was extatic to met her and super giddy
You could probably see it on my face! LOL
Oh and their offices are in Portland Oregon, I don't know how I've lived in Oregon for almost 20 years and never knew that until now. I've gotta visit them one day!
Laurie, Lisa and I did a quick make and take there at the
G45 booth! Jeffery was very cool!
Ms Diane hung out with us as we created!

Here's the beautiful Pion Papers Booth....
These are 2 of their designers Johanna and Annica, these two were so super sweet. I found out that this was Pion's first time at CHA! They traveled 18+ hours flying to and from...that's a long trip!
I enjoyed chatting with these sweet ladies and I hope
to see them again next year!

These are some of the DT samples, gorgeous!
Here is the Accucut booth!!
woot woot!!!!....
I met Traci!! I can't find the other photos of the booth...I'm sorry, but I did buy some stuff.....a new tray, new clear cutting plates and...get this...they have a new adapter system that is used for die cutting wafer thin dies!!! YES!! I was so glad that they finally have that....this means I can get some larger dies for this.
I almost bought the Spellbinders Grand Calibur but now I don't have too. Thanks to Accucut!!

I also met little Ms Modge Podge! I say Ms because she had some serious bling jewelery going on!! :)

I wanted to take her home on day 4 of CHA!!

Ahhh...she's so adorable!!
Here's my BFF Laurie with her too!
Here's the ever so cutest booth EVER!!.....
"doodlebug design"

Seriously, what's not to want from this company! This booth
was looking like a serious paper candy shop!

...and the CHA 2015 Doodlebug team!
Aren't they such a sweet lookin' bunch

One of the highlights for me was meeting the beautiful
Teresa Collins!  She was smiley all the way and super sweet! :)
Thanks for the warm welcome to your booth Teresa!
Visit her website HERE

Lawn Fawn was awesome!
Their booth of stamps and dies just went on forever!!!

Here's Ms Heidi Swapp and her FUN booth!!

Look at these illuminating block letters!
OMG, I would love to get "TJB" for my studio!!

Anna Griffin!
Some of the most elegant designs in the scrapbook and paper crafting industry! I think her brand is one of the first I
came to know when I started scrapping!

 Here's Shimelle Lane!
She was so sweet when I walked in her booth! She asked
if I minded that she share her newest release.
Wasn't that sweet of her? Of course it was a no brainer,
I'd love her to share it with me!!

She's so fun and happy! If you haven't seen her making some of the most adorable LO, you have to catch her in action at her Youtube channel
Melody Lane has a video of Shimelle sharing this collection at the 2015 CHA show that you can see here!

Pink Paislee!!
This was one of my all time favorite scrapbook companies....not sure why I don't use them more often but they've got some
great designers on their team:)

Maya Road!
I've always loved MR products...every item makes for
a great embellishment to add to any project!
You can find some MR products over at my shop in this listing.

I did share on FB but I met the sweetest lady you know her??? Of course you do, she is Patricia aka "Shabby Pink Stamper" on YT!!  She actually found me as I was
limping to the wall...yeah, my back was giving out:(
but she found me and let me taker her picture at the Besties booth with tons of her samples! Lucky day huh?! lol
I felt like I've known her for ever, such a sweet lady!

Petaloo! Oh my word! Walls full of flowers.
I was in heaven! LOVE Petaloo!!!

I didn't realize it until I was leaving the Petaloo booth but the floor in the booth was a rug made of petals! PETALS!!
Ah, I want one in my studio! LOL:)

Indigo Blue!! I didn't get to see Limor but I did make it to IB to see some of her new releases with them! I'm so excited for her and I hope she does exceptionally well in all her ventures!! Go LIMOR!!

There was so much to look at and there were many booths that I didn't even get to:( But I tried. I hope you enjoyed my post today!

It was a sad goodbye...I hate saying goodbye to my sister and the kids....but, I had to come home to my honey and 2 kiddos so, Laurie and I left LA!! Here's a short clip of our take off from LAX!

Well, until next CHA 2016!! Hopefully we will be ready for it, right Laurie LOL!
Thanks for hanging out with me today:)
