"Your Life. Beautiful", Smash Book!!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for coming over to peek at my latest project! Nothing Fall or Christmas themed, but def something you could do for a gift or just for yourself:)!

I covered my Pink Smash book! I had been wanting to change the look for a bit and now I have and it makes me wanna add stuff in it now!

Webster's Pages had a beautiful collection that was released earlier this year called "Trendsetter"! So adorable these papers and coordinating embellishments! Grouped this collection with some crazy gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts embellishments, Maya Road and Jenni Bowlin!
This was a combo of all things pretty!!

The Pink Smash Book looks like this.....

I Love the PINK!! But it's a little plain, so I did this to it....

This was an easy project, just had to wait for some of the mediums to dry well! I LOVE the look, so girly and so pretty!! :)

Here's my video! Enjoy:)

"I'm so grateful"......

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Well, it's 4:30am as I begin to write this post...and I've just made 3 pies and 3 side dishes for today's feast! Not too shabby right!?

I'm about to finally lay down and then up at 7:00am again to start cooking my Turkey and ham.....hmmm! I'm sure the house will be smelling like Thanksgiving by 9am and I can't wait!!

Although sitting around a table lavished with great food, it's never more joyous than having my family with me! Although we couldn't get my son out here, I am grateful for what God has gifted me in my life! I also miss my brothers, Lisa  and my niece and nephews....I really wish they could be here!

Strange how I wander back to years before and I can literally see how much things have changed, how much I've changed. Not gonna lie, I wish I knew then what I know now. That's no joke!! But we all grow and learn.....and I'm still learning!

I'm so grateful for family and faith! We've always been there for each other through the best and the worst....and when things got!...I tell you things that should have destroyed us but I knew God was there holding it all together....and I think I've learned that if I just trust in Him, things will be ok.....and when things were not getting better right away, it was a journey I am grateful for still because we never walked alone!! We aren't perfect, but then who is?? and God tells me it's ok because when you're not, I am!

As a kid I saw how much mom struggled with issues in her marriage, with herself, in her faith, with friends......they all failed her.....but I remember that when she seemed broken I would find her in her room on her knees crying out to the one "who is" and when she was done, she would stand then walked so tall!! It taught me a lot as a young woman, married at 18 and with a baby that I have that strength within me when I allowed the POWER of God to be there.....speaking to my heart, reminding me that I don't ever have to be sad or lonely or angry or scared because my heavenly Father was there and made a way for me through His Son to bridge that gap!! So, I'm grateful.......

I'm grateful for His sacrifice for me and my family! I'm grateful that because of a mother's tearful prayers for her kids and for her marriage, never went unheard! I'm grateful that I had the parents I did, imperfect and all, because I had the most perfect and loving heavenly Father ever! I'm grateful for never being hungry, never being naked, never being without a roof over my head because there are 1 too many out in the world that are! I'm grateful for a divine marital set up that became, although rough, the best thing to have ever happened to me! I'm grateful for the career I was able to have while I had it because now it was time for something new! I'm grateful for the miracle of carrying 2 children without complications and forever holding the title of "MoM"! I'm grateful that the lives entrusted to me, love me! I'm grateful for a book that was left for the world that in all reality was a book of love letters to us! I'm grateful that there is a thing called free will and that I decided to believe and follow a man who died for me on a cross!! I'm grateful for the emotion/mindset gift of faith because without it, my life would be in true despair with no HOPE!! I'm grateful for those who have a true heart and really share their love in all honesty! I'm grateful for the encouraging words spoken to me because it fills my heart with so much joy! I'm grateful for today because I can look back at all the previous Thanksgivings, remembering the blessings....having those memories and saying "Thank You God" for everything!!

For me, today is all about that.....Thanks!......

I will always be grateful, always be satisfied yet pressing on for growth, always allowing His love in my life! I pray and hope your day is blessed! Thanks for letting me share my heart..... :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and God Bless you and your family today!! ((hugs))

then me!:)

Here is my project for the month of November which was to create a Fall Home Decor piece! So, I created a Thanksgiving Table centerpiece with some cork trivets from IKEA my husband picked up for me while he was on a trip! He's so sweet, he said he thought I would like them and maybe make something out of them....which I did see once before and almost got, but then I put them back, trying to be frugal.....I'm glad he grabbed them for me, now I don't feel so "spendy"...not that they were, but you get what I'm saying!

I made some handmade Fall Mum Flowers in my last post, here they are again...
Ah, they're so pretty...I hope you like these!
I did make a video tutorial for them you can watch HERE! :)

So, here is my centerpiece!
(I have also made these burlap rose buds
I sell here on my blog, you could find them at this link)

Some close-up's

"Sweet" Prima Tea Thyme 12x12 Layout!

Hello everyone!

I have a 12x12 layout to share with you guys today! This is my LO that I'm submitting for the Prima BAP (Build A Page) for the month of October! It's my first time submitting a project to Prima!

I used their new "Tea Thyme" paper collection from the
6x6 pad and some coordinating embellishments.
I also used some of the embellishments from the "Nature's Garden" and flowers from older lines that I've had in my stash. Of course I also grabbed some of the BEAUTIFUL Wild Orchid Crafts flowers!!!

I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone with a little bit of mixed media...I never really do mixed media, but the collage and use of gesso and studio matte medium was something new I grabbed for this project!  One of the things I really loved about this project is that I made my own embellishment (a heart frame for the girls' picture)...I made a framed metal heart that I wrapped some strips of muslin around it and added gesso to it so it would have a shabby look to it! I didn't share it in the video because it was getting to be pretty long!'s the LO I made!

Here's the video with the tutorial!

You'll find a product list and some links to find them at the very end, thanks so much!

I used a 2-3 year old photo of my beautiful Anna and my beautiful niece Alissa! We went to L.A. to visit and headed out for a family day at the beach...I think it was at the Hermosa Beach! There was a very good seafood restaurant there and so we stopped to eat! The girls were just hanging out and Alissa grabbed Anna by the neck to hug her!
I'm so glad I snap pics at odd times...I can capture moments just like this one! These girls were the last 2 born to our family and we are so blessed to have them! Did you know that Anna was older, but Alissa can throw her! LOL They are only 2 weeks apart, that means Lisa and I were pregnant at the same time and I'm so glad that memory was created too! What a cool thing for sisters to be pregnant together right...and with girls!! awwww:)
They were about 15 in this photo:)

I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I did! I tried to enclose lots of close up pics to share the detail! This was a fun LO to make and I'm glad I had a couple days to make it for myself!

Please let me know if you have any questions....I do try to mention everything in the video....this is why they are always a tad bit long, but I would rather that that leave you guessing, plus I love sharing what I know for those who are learning

So here's what I used:
~Prima 6x6 "Tea Thyme" paper
~Prima Alpha stickers from "Nature's Garden"
~Prima Embellishments from "Tea Thyme", "Almanac", "Nature's Garden"
~Stamp set "Tea Thyme" by Prima
~Flowers are by Prima (past collections), Wild Orchid Crafts.
~Gesso white, Folkart "Vintage White", Making Memories "Rose Petal", Americana "Celery Green", Americana "Light Cinnamon"
~Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays "White Jasmine Gold", "Cotton Candy Pink"
~Cardstock by Amercian Crafts, light buttery yellow and gray
~Border punch by Martha Stewart "Deco Fan" (1 of 2)
~Maya Road, mini chipboard set "Birds and Cages"
~Tools: detail tip glue gun, glue gun helper kit, paper distresser, Fiskars paper trimmer, Studio Matte Medium, Mod Podge, sponge applicator, paint brush from Michaels Craft supply store.
~Chipboard alpha's, Thickers "Nutmeg"
~From my stash: cheese cloth, Vintage Lace, Flat Back pearls "White", full pearls, Champagne"

~~Some online stores to locate some of these goodies:
Bluemoon Scrapbooking

Thanks to Prima for doing the BAP and PPP's!! It's a very cool opportunity to create and win some awesome products or be featured on your blog! (Which I was for this challenge month, yay!)!
I appreciate it!

Have an awesome day everyone!!
