Shaggy raffia flowers!

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving weekend! :)

This is a Wild Orchid Crafts project that I want to share with you guys. I wanted to share some raffia flowers I made a bit ago and was asked from a few ladies to do a tutorial on them. They really are very easy, same concept as my doop of the Prima fabric flowers I did earlier this year. I did a video sharing all those I made. That video here, (make sure to skip through to 8:12 to get to the tut part of it!)

You can find various colors of the raffia over on the WOC website here! :)

Here are some pics of the most recent flowers and the video tut to follow :)

Here is my video tutorial in case you wanna peek! :)

Thanks for stopping in! xo, Jules

"Sweet Faces" 12x12 Christmas layout!

Good morning everyone!
(it's still morning here)
I have been on a Fancy Pants kick since I got the paper collection! I had a project for Wild Orchid Crafts coming up and so I thought...why not make myself another
LO of my was a win win for me!!!

So, I created a different style with this one but kept the design of the border frame and the paint splashes and dry paint application on red cardstock instead of gray! I love them both!
You can check out the previous post for the other LO I mentioned. :)
Here are the pics, and a video to follow! As far as the items I used on this LO, I will have a link to each product at the very end so all you have to do is click on the product description
and you will be taken straight to it on the website!

Thanks so much for taking a peek! :)
One of my favorite things to do is to add some stitching around the edges of papers!  Not really sure what it is...but I think it's because it's fun and I don't have to make straight lines and it doesn't matter cuz it's not gonna be worn by anyone!! lol
Love the colors on this LO too!

Here is my video:

"Christmas Joy" featured on Craft Warehouse Blog!!

Hello again!

I'm posting this 12x12 LO to share with you guys that it's being featured on the Craft Warehouse blog! My design team partner Mendi and I shared it this time around!
It was great to see 2 LO projects being made with the same paper collection and
embellishments and 2 totally different looks!
I loved what she did, I'm a huge fan of her work and I am always inspired by her projects!
Check out her project here!

Here is my "Christmas Joy" layout of my kids:)
This was an old pic I had it printed in black and white and I love it!

On the CW blog, I shared a step by step picture tutorial where I showed how to steps of a couple techniques I did on this LO!  I really had a blast with it....I even had some leftover paper and did another 12x12:)

Here are a couple of pics..... here's a couple more...and that's it:)

Check out the blog post here!

Thanks:) xo, Jules:)

Altered wood plaque and Masculine LO! (CW Project)

Hello everyone!

Thanks for stopping in:) In this post I will share my Craft Warehouse  assignment...this is #3!

We were given a wooden plaque that measures 18"x9"....pretty big! We also had a paper kit and embellishments from the "Farmhouse" collection made by Crate Paper for a 12x12 LO!  They were very generous and gave us so much for play with! Thanks CP and CW!

So here is my plaque. I knew I wanted to do the crackle finish to it as soon as I saw it!  I will add my video below in which I explain it all at the end, for now, here are the pics!
So my plaque was fun to make! I did a basket weave with the paper and placed that on top of the plaque, then the vinyl on a lace framed light colored paper, this served as a "basket" to set my homemade canned goods in...see the top part...I labeled these little jars that I free handed and cut out of the paper. Love these little things!! Anyhow! I LOVED making this!

Closer pics below:
I really loved making the lace ruffle border to simulate a lacey look!

My LO is of my hubby...he's adorable! We went o Portland for the weekend at the end of September and he just randomly stopped at this coffee spot on the side of the road in a gorgeous area and bought us coffee (Anna and I):)

I just snapped a few pics and just had to use these 2 for this LO!

Used Tim Holtz kraft resist paper for the base, inked and distressed the edges, then using some color coordinating paper with the greens and reds, I centered them and ripped up the sides so the red would peek through, did a little stitching all around the KR paper, I also stitched around the little circles. One at the top left and a set on the right side right above his picture:) Anyhow, loved making this LO, I was sad to mail it out, so I went and got another set of pics to make one for myself!! cuz I's luvs him!:)

Here are some close-up's!

Here is my video!

Thanks for stopping by! Please head over the Craft Warehouse website to see what's going on! You know, there is a forum there to chat with use DT people and see some projects too! There is also a Craft Warehouse blog where there are a couple projects that were just made by Mendi and myself that is being featured right now.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment with how I can ahold of ya or email me,

Have a great rest of your week!
