"My Day" Engraver Mini Album!

Hello everyone!

My older brother Danny had a birthday in April and of course we celebrated by doing "the family out to dinner" thing....twice! We had fun just hanging out, eating and laughing about stuff and of course, I took pictures, but this time I grabbed my little Fujifilm Instax 25 with me and snapped a few pictures! These little Poloroids are the size of business cards!! So adorable, but best of all, they are a perfect size for mini album making! I had all of these by the end of our first dinner!

Of course I didn't have enough for the album, so I took more when hubby and I took my brother to have a lobster dinner at one of Oregon's finest Casino's! LOL! Then, finally, enough pictures!! yay!

So I created this "My Day" mini album for him and decided to design some kits! So if you're interested, you can find them at TJB Shop Kits listing!
The Prima "Engraver" collection had the look I wanted! Although I wanted to make it masculine, I couldn't not add Prima flowers! I loved that you can go both ways with this collection....masculine or not....and too, you can go shabby or grungy! Perfectly versatile!

So, here's the album pages! I used 5" diam Accucut die cuts, little, but it packed a cool punch together with the collection! Warning, this post is photo heavy! :)

On the back page I added a Maya Road envelope to insert the extra pics and also used it to create a pocket for a couple of journaling cards and they fit great!

I wanted to add some mixed media to the pages. For some, I used Prima and other's Crafter's Workshop stencils/masks and added those images with some fiber paste! Fiber paste has something in it...I don't know what it is, but you can see it in the texture...like right in the tub and when it's applied and then the mask lifted off, it makes these pokey peeks, looks soo cool! But it's pokey, so I would touch the peeks with the tips of my finger to calm it a little and still leaving the integrity of the design. I also added some color using Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays by unscrewing the nozzle and then drizzling it from the straw....just giving those drippy marks! I only used Yellow Jasmine Gold for the album. For the cover, I used some unsweetened tea and dripped it on. I'll share the video tutorial as soon as I can:)

Here are some close-ups to share!!

The End......LoL....well, not really!

Here's my video tutorial as I put the album together. I really had so much fun with it! Please stay a bit to watch:)
